About us

Picture
Established in 2014. After 8 years of working as a Project Manager with hundreds of customers at a yard we realized the barriers for boat owners when it comes to maintaining and improving their vessels. Customers want to make quality repairs, maintenance and improvements as accessible as possible. We know the benefits of getting as much work done as possible when your boat is already being worked on. But it is expensive and many of us cannot afford to do those extras when it makes most sense to do so.

We are local craftsmen in Ensenada, Mexico and we work directly with boat owners to get the best quality work completed at the best value possible.

Whether paint, fiberglass, varnish, carpentry, repairs, engine work, maintenance or a complete overhaul, we can deliver satisfaction and work within your budget.

What our clients say about us?

I write this testimonial to congratulate Mario Herrera and his capable crew at Niza Marine for the excellent work they have done on my yacht.
A few months ago, I was shopping at a chandlery in San Diego, California when Mario approached to me. He recognized me from a few years back when my yacht was at a yard in Ensenada, MX for some work. He informed me of his services and suggested if I had significant boat maintenance work to consider his team in Ensenada.

I had never thought of actually coming to Ensenada to berth my boat, but he was convincing, and I am very glad I listened to him.

In the course of a few weeks, Mario and Luis and crew replaced all the windows in my yacht as well as other upgrades and the work was of exceptionally high quality.

By offering me very competitive berthing rates, Mario "lured" me to Ensenada, where I have been very happy.

He is tremendous asset to the cruising community and I am sure is responsible for "luring" other cruisers to Cruiseport Village Marina.

I wanted to write this testimonial as evidence that his work is a great asset. I have written similar comments to Latitude 38 Sailing Magazine, such has been my gratitude for the excellent work Mario and Luis have done.

Mario and his crew were fantastic from start to finish. The project: New Hull paint, bottom paint, underwater lighting install and a few minor electrical issues. As the sailboat is a charter vessel, time was of the essence. I needed the entire project wrapped up in less than 10 days. Even with bad weather, they finished the project on time and on budget. Mario handled of all the international entry paperwork and fees, and communicated almost daily with progress reports.

Mario and his guys have done a number of jobs for me on my Offshore 62. I have always been extremely happy with their quality work and price.

An example of their work is I had them take raw teak and cover my worn fiberglass swimstep. As you can see in the photos the finished work is beautiful. Being Mexico it does take a little extra time but your patience will be rewarded with great craftsmanship at a very reasonable cost.

CHB34 - bottom paint (3 coats anti-fouling) and hull (2 coats), as well as minor mechanical repairs and engine maintenance.

I had a fantastic experience with this company, all the way from Mario meeting me and discussing my needs in San Diego. Mario arranged for all the necessary documentation and assisted my guest slip in one of the marinas for my extended stay (I was always going to get my fair share of tacos in).

The work was done beyond my expectations, and Mario did a great job keeping me informed of any issues that arose. I wanted to take advantage of cheap fuel, and he found me a 55-gallon barrel to use. No unpleasant surprises from the quote and I will be sure to return for all my future maintenance with Niza Marine.

- Note:
I was somewhat concerned at first, about the negative review that I saw for this company (so many fake reviews as well as "Karens"). I did a little research on the kind of reviews this person did and quickly discerned that this person sounds like a petty, angry customer who is impossible to please.
